A Graphic Look Inside Jeffrey Dahmer’s Dresser Drawer

Recent surveys revealed that Jeffrey Dahmer was a serial killer responsible for killing approximately 17 individuals, as well as being engaged in necrophilia and cannibalism. Furthermore, this maniac enjoyed torturing his victims – sodomizing, strangulating, and dismembering them until their bodies had no more blood on them to leak out of.

Police discovered this drawer while conducting their apartment investigation. It contained 80 Polaroid photos depicting his victims.

What is inside the drawer?

After Jeffrey killed his victims, he kept their bodies around and used them for various purposes, like cannibalism or dismembering for later use. Body parts would often be scattered about his apartment but also stored in multiple drawers. When Tracy Edwards managed to escape his captivity and call police for assistance, police raided his apartment, which ultimately led to his arrest and ended his cannibalistic murder spree. They discovered 84 Polaroid pictures depicting victims inside one dresser drawer – which proved enough evidence against him to sentence him to life imprisonment before another prisoner later killed him.

Polaroids in his drawer displayed pictures of dead bodies posed in various poses, which online sources attribute to Jeffrey as a way of feeding into his sadistic sexual desires and necrophilia. Reliving moments from the murder process served as an essential component of his preparations.

Polaroids were discovered along with drawings and preserved skulls during a police raid of Dahmer’s Milwaukee apartment, leading to his conviction and raising interest worldwide in what really occurred during that period of his life. Netflix has provided further insight into this tragic tale through their series.

How did Jeffrey hunt his victims?

Jeffrey was adept at stalking his victims. Sometimes, he would invite men out drinking back to his apartment; other times, he’d visit bars looking for attractive women and men he found attractive enough. Once he found someone suitable, he’d drug and assault violently before killing them and dissecting their body parts; some, like skulls, ended up in his dresser drawer as souvenirs.

He was known to consume the flesh of his victims in order to dispose of their bodies more humanely than simply burning them or finding other means for disposing of them, such as dunking them in acid.

Police were astounded when they entered Dahmer’s apartment and discovered more than 84 Polaroid photographs of his victims in his dresser drawer, as well as a mummified scalp. Additionally, there was also a refrigerator full of body parts Dahmer had collected over time and preserved.

After Jeffrey Dahmer was arrested, a Milwaukee civic group purchased all the contents from his dresser and fridge as they feared serial killer memorabilia hunters would seek them out as “proven tools of murder.” Some items were eventually auctioned off, while some others were later returned to them by MCG.

What happened to the drawer after his arrest?

On 22 July 1991, serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer was arrested when one of his victims, Tracy Edwards, managed to escape his apartment and contact two Milwaukee police officers. They escorted Tracy Edwards back into her apartment, where they discovered an offensive smell as well as numerous dismembered body parts stored away in drawers with photographs and an exposed mummified scalp; Dahmer told them viewing these pictures gave him pleasure and sensual pleasure.

He was given sixteen consecutive life terms in 1992 for killing and dismembering 17 men and boys – acts that included cannibalism, necrophilia, and the preservation of body parts.

After his arrest, his refrigerator, closet, drawers, knives, and other belongings were auctioned off to raise funds for his victims’ families. One drawer was sold directly to a Milwaukee civic group as it was feared murderabilia hunters or serial killer fanatics would attempt to purchase the items; thus, the group decided to buy the drawer directly instead.

The Oxford Apartments where Dahmer lived were demolished soon after his arrest, leaving behind an empty lot surrounded by fencing that is not open to the public but did feature prominently in the Netflix series Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story; one episode featured Glenda Cleveland (Niecy Nash) asking for some memorial or monument there to be placed as she begged Glenda not to forget him there.

What happened to the original photographs?

Polaroid pictures found in a drawer were published in a crime magazine, where they caused shockwaves among readers. Unfortunately, due to being too disturbing and potentially having adverse consequences on mental health for some individuals, the original photographs are no longer available for publication.

Pictures in Jeffrey’s drawer indicate his necrophilic tendencies. He would kill, disfigure, and photograph victims in various poses to fulfill his sexual fantasies before keeping these photos as souvenirs.

Online sources claim he was also a cannibal, however this claim is false; cannibalism involves eating human body parts.

On 22nd July 1991, Tracy Edwards managed to escape his house handcuffed and contact the police, prompting Robert Rauth and Rolf Mueller from Milwaukee’s Detective Agency to raid his apartment, where they discovered many disturbing objects, including 74 pictures depicting dead bodies in various poses and even a mummified scalp.

Dahmer’s apartment was demolished shortly after his arrest, and its site now serves as a park with some form of memorial dedicated to Dahmer and his victims. It appears he suffered from psychogenic health conditions that left his obsessions and impulses out of control; violent acts were frequently committed as a means to ensure silence while satisfying libidinous needs.
