How to Fix a Toilet That Keeps Clogging Up

If you are having trouble flushing the toilet, you might want to consider using a toilet auger to clear out the clog. The auger should be inserted into the toilet’s drain and moved forward until you feel resistance. If the resistance extends beyond the drain, there may be a problem with your S-trap. Once the auger reaches the clog, it should rotate in an attempt to break up the clog. You may also want to check the vent in your toilet. Most modern toilets are connected to a vent to allow fresh air to enter the plumbing system. This boosts flushing pressure.

Non-flushable items

A toilet that keeps clogging up can be frustrating, but there are a few ways you can fix the problem yourself. The first step is to stop flushing non-flushable items down the toilet. Toilets are designed to handle human waste, not paper products. You can also try a flange plunger or a toilet auger to disintegrate the clogging material.

Toilet paper is one of the most common culprits. Even though it is thin and can dissolve in water, it can still cause a clog. This is why it is important to dispose of your sanitary products in a separate garbage container, such as a covered garbage bin.

Toilet paper

A common cause of a clogged toilet is using too much toilet paper. Two-ply toilet paper is not as efficient as the standard kind and is more likely to stick to the toilet and drain lines. The best way to avoid this problem is to avoid using 2-ply toilet paper altogether. Try to teach your young family members the right way to use toilet paper.

First of all, toilet paper should only be used for human waste. Avoid flushing any other materials or products down the toilet. Other materials will not disintegrate and can cause serious problems for your toilet. Learn how to properly dissolve toilet paper so that it does not clog. If you still have problems, get in touch with a professional plumbing service.

Poop

A clogged toilet can be an indicator of a larger issue, such as a blockage in your main sewer line. These types of blockages are often caused by a buildup of waste materials and other non-flushable items in the main drain. Mother nature can also contribute to a clogged toilet, so you should always contact a plumbing professional if you suspect this is the problem.

One of the first things to try to unclog a toilet is to pour hot water down the drain. However, be sure that the water doesn’t reach boiling point. Once you have poured the hot water, wait for a few minutes and check to see if the water drains properly. If the water drains properly, the clog has been eliminated. Once the water has drained, flush the toilet to flush out the remaining water.

Sewer line blockages

A sewer line blockage can happen for a number of reasons. Most commonly, it is caused by tree roots. These roots are very strong and can worm their way into the pipe over time. This can cause major water backups, and it can also lead to a pipe burst. To avoid a clogged sewer line, you should have a professional plumber inspect the line for any signs of clogging.

Toilets are often the first drain affected by a mainline clog. They are connected to the main sewer line, and they can shift under the pressure of continuous use. If you notice a slow drain, it is likely that the toilet drain is blocked. Sewage backup is a major headache that can lead to a flooded home.

Toilet plunger

If your toilet keeps clogging, a plunger is an effective way to clear it. However, you have to be careful when using it to prevent yourself from accidentally splashing water on yourself and your floor. Before starting, empty the water from the toilet bowl. When using the plunger, you should always make sure that the head is facing the surface of the water. Then, plunge the plunger a few times gently. Do not force it, as this will just push air back into the seal and make water splash all over your bathroom. Plungers with bottom flanges are recommended for this purpose, because they have more suction. However, be aware that improper installation of plungers can cause permanent damage to your system.

Some clogs may be caused by foreign matter, mineral buildup, or other factors. If your toilet is constantly clogging, you should consider calling a plumber for professional help. In some cases, however, you can repair the clog yourself.

Toilet auger

When your toilet keeps clogging up, you might need to try using a toilet auger. An auger is an electrical device that is specially designed to remove clogs. An auger works by inserting a small hook or closed coil head into the clog. The auger also has a handle on one end that you can crank to push the plug deeper into the pipe system.

A toilet auger can be used to remove a clog when you have tried everything else. First, insert the auger into the toilet drain. Then, turn the handle clockwise until the clog is broken. When the auger is done, remove it and place the clogged material in a bucket. Repeat this procedure as often as necessary until the clog is removed.
